But I did figure out how to customize the background. I'm not giving up on the slide show, so keep your eyes open. If anyone knows how to do a slide show and would like to tell me how, please feel free to.

The website I've used is slide.com That's the easiest for me...good luck. I haven't done it for awhile. ;)
